Chopard is a brand with an invaluable reputation for making both fine mechanical and jewelry watches. This year's crop of premieres from Chopard are exciting new refinements of existing ranges, all of whom are destined for success.

With three patents pending, the L.U.C Chrono One chronograph (above) features a column-wheel, a flyback function, and an automatic winding movement with a lengthy power reserve. The project was first announced in 2005, when Karl-Friedrich Scheufele launched project GT3. The 16,000 hours of research and development have resulted in the L.U.C Chrono One double-pusher chronograph with flyback function. The case is made of white gold, and measures 42 mm across.

With its L.U.C 96 TB proprietary caliber, the Tech Twist (above) from the L.U.C collection merges technolofy, design, and aesthetics in a distinctive and sophisticated model. A steel case houses a movement with an exceptional 65-hour power reserve. This automatic mechanical watch also bears Chopard's high level of finish, earning it respect from connoisseurs.

The ultra-thin L.U.C XP watch (above) rounds out the range of L.U.C Haute Horlogerie models. Understated and refined, the watch is now available in rose gold, and features a 70-hour power reserve. Simple, uncomplicated, and highly attractive as a result, the XP is for the connoisseur who prefers to whisper their success.

Chopard pursues its long-standing cooperation with the Mille Miglia classic car race with two new chronographs. To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the race, the Mille Miglia GT XL Chrono 2007 has been launched. Besides the handsome standard version (above), two limited-edition versions (above) will be made, the first of which featuring a slate-colored dial, the second with a black dial with luminous numerals. 2007 of the steel limited watches will be made, and 500 in 18K rose gold.

Now available in pink gold, the L.U.C Strike One (above) from Chopard is a new addition to the extensive, well-respected range. The Strike One repeater watch is the result of two years of development, incorporating a mechanical self-winding movement attached to a complex hammer and gong device that announces the change of hour with a single strike. Available in 18K pink gold, the L.U.C Strike One is limited to just 100 pieces.

For ladies with a taste for novelty, the Two O Ten (above) is available in rose gold or steel, with either a leather or steel band. Three case designs exist, either Lady, Sport, or XL model. Avant-garde and daring, the Two O Ten is a graceful new addition to the Chopard family. End of Article
