New for this year, the RM 011 Felipe Massa Flyback Chronograph watch from Richard Mille follows the handsome, racecar-inspired style of its brethren. Behind the sapphire crystal dial, the automatic winding, skeletonized movement powers a new, aeronautical-inspired flyback chronograph that can be reset without first having to stop the mechanism, as well as an annular calendar function. As always, one of the biggest draws of the RM 011 is Richard Mille’s extensive use of advanced materials such as titanium and palladium, which lend this, much like the brand’s other new premieres the RM 015 and RM016, a uniquely technical character.

The new Richard Mille Tourbillon RM 015 Perini Navi Cup features, for the first time in history, a movement baseplate made of carbon nanofiber. The watch features a manual winding tourbillon movement with power reserve indicator, while the 750 white gold case, with its sailboat-esque fluting, lends it a sense of nautical elegance. A second time zone indicator completes the picture of a sophisticated new sports watch.

The Richard Mille Automatic RM 016 features a skeletonized automatic movement, with a variable geometry rotor whose arms and flanges are made out of titanium. The most interesting thing about the RM 016, however, has to be its new shape, unusual for the brand, but similarly handsome to its siblings in the Richard Mill range. Taking a different tack from the motorsport and sailing themes of the brand, the RM 016 is a more elegant design whose ergonomic curves hug the wrist. Seen here in rose gold, the RM 016 at once fits well into and carves a new niche for itself in the Richard Mille collection. End of Article
