The Ref. 5960 caliber uses a clutch mechanism to engage and disengage the chronograph, unlike that of most other chronographs.

  
 

The chronograph is stopped by lifting the clutch wheel away from the central chrono-wheel in a reverse process. You will notice that the central chrono-wheel is always in motion.
