TAG Heuer has inked a deal with ModeLabs, a customized design manufacturer (CDM) of mobile phones headquartered in Paris, to design, produce and market mobile phones under the TAG Heuer label. The Swiss watch brand joins an elite group of companies the likes of Prada, Giorgio Armani and Porsche Design to venture into the luxury mobile phone market. A team of designers and watch developers from TAG Heuer has already been assigned on this three-year project to create a full range of “tailor-made” mobile phones and accessories. Both companies expect to deliver the first TAG Heuer phone in the second half of 2008.
