Italian luxury yacht builder Ferretti Yachts marks the
beginning of their 40th year in high-end yacht manufacturing by
showcasing their two latest models, the Ferretti 630 (see pictures) and 550 at the 39th
Boot Düsseldorf Trade Fair in Germany.
The boat show runs from which runs from 19-27 January. The Ferretti 630's
deceptively small 65-feet (19.81 meters) frame reveals much more with its unique
exterior and plush interiors for its three cabins and bathrooms.
Designed by
Studio Zuccon International Project and Ferretti's engineers, a 360-degree view
of the sea is created through the use of spherical glazed glasswork from bow to
stern. Admire the sea with ample light streaming in from huge open-view windows
in the master cabin, or simply unwind in the American style galley.
Performance-wise,
the Ferretti 630's two 1224-hp MAN engines can attain a maximum speed of 33.5
knots. Ferretti also presents a smaller yacht from their luxury fleet, the Ferretti
550.
Measuring 57 feet (17.37 meters), the yacht is equipped with three cabins
and bathrooms. The Ferretti 550 can travel at a top speed of 37 knots on a twin
900-hp MAN V8 engine. Both models have the option of an ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro)
system, which cuts the rolling caused by waves by at least 50 percent.
The
system is designed for the Ferretti Group by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
There's also the NAVIOP, a software that enables constant monitoring of alarm
situations, even via SMS.
