Adidas AG has introduced, through its subsidiary Taylor Made Golf Company, the Limited Edition Special Box Set of gold golf clubs. The clubs are from the R7 XR series, well known for being of superior craftsmanship and handling. The entire set of clubs in the box set have been made 'golden', including the soles of the metalwoods and the club’s shafts. Inscribed on the toe of the R7XR driver are the words '2008 Special Edition'. Completing the set are eight sleeves of TaylorMade’s PT Balls featuring Low-Drag Performance proprietary aerodynamics. Available only in Hong Kong and China, this box set is limited to 2008 units. Each of the boxes is inset with a golden plaque displaying the individual set’s number, out of the 2008 to be made in this limited range.
