The newly launched MacBook Air will soon see its Windows competition from the manufacturers of IBM with Lenovo ThinkPad X300. At 0.73 inches (1.85 cm) thin and 2.9 pounds (1.3 kg) without its extended battery, it matches the MacBook Air in slimness and weight.

And just like the MacBook Air, it has a 13.3 inch widescreen with a full keyboard. Unlike the MacBook Air, the Lenovo is not stripped-down in features, boasting a DVD burner, LED backlit display, wireless connectivity, three USB ports, microphone/headphone ports, optical drive, integrated camera option and stereo speakers.

The Lenovo also comes with a 6-cell battery pack extension, allowing up to 10 hours of life unplugged. Though not as sleek as the aesthetically driven Apple trademark, the Lenovo looks set to stir some heated competition.
