Aston
Martin has finally stepped out and announced it will send the sleek
and sophisticated V12 Vantage RS into limited production, according
to reports in Dutch car magazine Autovisie.
The report says that Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, has confirmed that the company will also be rolling out the DBS Roadster.
The
V12 Vantage RS will be available in Mako Blue, and is expected to hit
the roads some time in 2009 loaded with 600 horsepower, that propels
it from zero to 60 mph (or 0-100 km/h under four seconds. With enough
carbon fiber bits to leave it weighing in at just 3,500lbs (1,600kg),
this makes the V12 Vantage RS the fastest Aston Martin production car
to date.
Not
much information has been released on the DBS Roadster except that it
is scheduled for release around mid-2009, though some sneak peeks
show that one can expect a soft top car with 512 horsepower behind
it.
