Romain Jerome captured our attention with their Titanic DNA collection
of luxury timepieces, and has yet again returned to impress us with a
collection of exquisite writing instruments inspired by the story of the doomed
vessel.
Each fountain pen is crafted with a multitude of precious materials
such as palladium, stainless steel or gold, and brass to flaunt aesthetic
elements of the Titanic’s intricate anatomy.
With the innovative inclusion of a
sapphire glass porthole, one can see how a wheelhouse steering gear draws ink
into the pen nib through a propeller.
Every pen barrel features a
ring which combines rusting steel from the Titanic, and steel from the Harland
& Wolff shipyard where it was built—preserving a rare piece of history
encapsulated in a single pen.
Conceptualized by Jean-Pierre and Benjamin
Lepinem, together with Romain Jerome CEO Yvan Arpa, only 88 pieces of each
riveting design will be sold.
