Internationally acclaimed architect Rafael Viñoly is set to complete a project in his country of origin, Uruguay, for the first-time in his illustrious career. This new project by the award-winning architect is called the Edifico Acqua, a residential luxury property on the beachfront resort of Punta Del Este.

The six-story L-shaped luxury complex will feature 34 units with breathtaking views of the South Atlantic Ocean. The building also features a terraced configuration that steps back floor by floor, making for extensive outdoor space and even private infinity pools for four exclusive units.

The interiors have been designed with the beachfront as a focal point, with at least the dining and living areas in all the complex’s residences facing the ocean.

All bedrooms will also come with private bathrooms and walk-in closets. In addition, residents will also get to enjoy the use of a fitness center, spa and outdoor pool.

Though it is currently under construction, the project has already garnered the 2007 Real Estate Excellence Award from the Federación Internacional de Profesiones Inmobiliarias of Uruguay.
