Samsung takes it up a notch with news
of their latest OLED (Organic Light-emitting Diode) 12.1-inch laptop—now the
world’s thinnest with its touch sensitive keypad and lack of need for a
backlight, and is poised to give Apple’s MacBook Air a run for its money.
Using
Thin Film Transistor (TFT) technology, Samsung has created a 1,280 x 768 resolution similar to that of an LCD screen of the
same size but with superior clarity.
Although there is no news of a launch date
for this gorgeous black and red laptop just yet, Samsung has already announced
plans to offer 14 and 15-inch OLED laptops as early as 2009.
