Australian designer Brodie Neill is well known for his
unconventional use of form in his seamless and fluid designs. His work has been
recognized by Time Magazine’s Design 100 as one of the top designs of 2008.
For the upcoming International Contemporary Furniture Fair
(ICFF), Neill will exhibit his e-turn bench, @-chair and “intro” seat,
featuring his progressive fluid transformations.
The single seat @-chair is fabricated from loops of carbon
fiber with a chrome finish, while the fluid shapes that make up its the
surfaces of the “intro” seat get their glossy sheen from black lacquered
fiberglass. The ribbon-inspired e-turn bench catches the eye with its vibrant
colors.
Another notable creation is the “jet” coffee table, a
Swarovski-inspired piece made of smooth graphite with dark crystals encrusted
in the undulating legs.
