1960s automaker Bizzarrini has released the preliminary
announcement on its Scuderia Bizzarrini P538. This re-bodied roadster is the
modern-day tribute to the 1966 P538S, originally designed to run at the 24-hour
Le Mans races.
The design is the product of collaboration between the Thai
team behind the Cobra Limited Edition Galmer Arbitrage GT supercar and Giotto
Bizzarrini himself. The Italian sportscar guru has worked for the likes of
Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo and Iso before making cars under his own name.
The open top concept is closely modeled after the original
1966 design, with more than 500 hp from a mid-mounted Chevrolet LS7 V8, and a
full carbon body and monocoque.
The car is expected to be unveiled at the Nardo
test circuit in November this year, and will have a limited production run of
just 100 vehicles.
