Come June 19th 2008, Cartier celebrates love and
the spirit of giving yet again with Cartier Love Day.
Humanitarian efforts and the
arts come together this year in a bid to spread the message of love all over the
globe. As Dylan Thomas notes, "though lovers be lost, love shall not." Cartier has gone to great lengths to ensure that love's labour is not lost.
The house of high jeweley and high watchmaking has turned out a unique re-interpretation of
its iconic Love bracelet. The maison previously celebrated Cartier Love Day by
raising funds for humanitarian causes with proceeds from the sales of these
celebrated pieces.
Celebrating with Cartier's Love bracelet this time are 12 international
artists who have contributed 12 exclusive tracks for this momentous
humanitarian drive. Among these luminaries are Ryuichi Sakamoto, Lou
Reed, Marion Cotillard and Grand National.
Cartier have pledged to donate a percentage of
sales on all Cartier Love Collection creations sold in all its boutiques in the
three days following Cartier Love Day. This global effort involving all
Cartier subsidiaries will go towards chosen humanitarian causes focusing on
children.
