Appearing like a cross between an Audi and a jet fighter
with all the attitude of a 1980’s pure breed to boot, Scotland’s first supercar
looks determined to leave the rest of Europe in the dust. That is, if it goes
into production.
Named after an old Scottish spirit, the Falen is the
brainchild of Gleneagles-based design studio Dowdeswell and Hardie, who plan to
reveal the car at next year’s Geneva motor show.
A 5.5 liter Judd V10 squeezes
out an impressive 800 hp, which, when complemented with lightweight carbon
fiber materials, offers what one can imagine to be a drive more satisfying than
the smoothest of single malts.
Also of note is a hinged glasshouse that
retracts at a wide angle for entry. Only four units of this motoring marvel
will be made available for sale, assuring exclusivity to those who can afford
it.
