Details on the updated version of the Maserati Quattroporte
have been released, revealing plans for a sleeker, more powerful unit, both
inside and out.
The Quattroporte will get a new, more powerful engine – a
4.7-liter unit pushing out 430 bhp, over the original 400 bhp of its
predecessor’s 4.2-liter V8. Offered as
the standard Quattroporte and the Quattroporte S, both versions will also come
with smoother ZF six-speed automatic transmission.
The new Quattroporte has also been treated to some new
bodywork – a reshaped front grille and bumper, fitted with vertical slats
reminiscent of the Maserati GranTurismo, LEDs on the front and rear lights,
slimmer mirrors and a remodeled tail and fenders. Available in two new colors,
beige and maroon, the interiors of the car have also been updated with
ergonomic features, with the added integration of the new Maserati Multimedia
System.
