Porsche
have just unveiled their new all-wheel-drive 2009 911 Carrera 4 and 4S models,
available in both Coupé and Cabriolet versions. The new range is fitted with
updated technology that promises to deliver higher performance, greater driving
pleasure, lower fuel consumption and reduced carbon emissions.
Distinguished
from the two-wheel-drive range by red reflector strip running between the tail
lamps, the Carrera 4 range comes with new Direct Fuel Injection engines
delivering more power, with the Carrera 4 pushing out 345 bhp from its 3.6L
flat six, while the 3.8L of the 4S now going to 385 bhp.
Equipped with six-gear
manual sporting transmission, the C4 range also offers the option for a
seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung twin-clutch gearbox.
Fitted
with a the new electronic Porsche Traction Management system developed for the
911 Turbo and modified for the new generation of Carreras, the on-road
experience in the new all-wheel-drives will boast quicker, more precise, and
more responsive handling. The new models will be available in Europe from
October 25 this year.
