By ASHOK SOMAN
Geneva-based watchmakers and jewelers Piaget opened their
showcase of their own history June 17, from 1874 to the present day.
Located
just above their own boutique in Geneva, the Piaget Time Gallery offers
visitors a glimpse into the past of one of haute horlogerie’s most famous names
through both historical documents and antique pieces.
The goal of this gallery
is to share the values of the brand and its culture with the public. Designed
by Gerard Barrau, also responsible for Piaget’s boutique concepts worldwide,
this gallery is but the first of its kind.
A natural extension of the
boutiques, other similar initiatives are in the works for cities outside
Europe. Click here to view Piaget’s SIHH Collection 2008.
