Italian design firm Pininfarina, better known for their design work on supercars like the Ferrari Enzo and Maserati GranTurismo, have extended their design expertise to produce a top-of-the-line office chair, the Aresline Xten.

The Xten, developed to the tune of $1.5 million, sees standards of technological and design innovation usually applied to premium vehicles; the chair promises to reduce fatigue through the use of high-tech materials and revolutionary ergodynamic design.

The chair uses Technogel, a unique polyeurethane material which promises to reduce stress on the back, and Dynatec, a fabric previously designed for Olympic athletes. The Xten comes in four colours: metallic blue, grey, red and anthracite.
