Bucking the trend of “touchscreen revolution” in mobile
phones, especially in light of the launch of its most recent jewel, the Touch
Diamond, HTC’s new smartphone, the S740 instead boasts two sets of keys – a standard 12-key keypad and a fully
functional slide-out QWERTY keyboard underneath.
The S740's sleek aesthetics borrowed
cues from the HTC Touch Diamond, and comes with HSDPA 3G connectivity,
GPS, quad-band EDGE WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 3.2 mega-pixel camera, all
accessible through the Windows Mobile 6 operating system.
It also boasts a
2.4-inch QVGA display, and a microSD™ slot for expandable storage, culminating
in a smartphone capable of performing all the typical communication, business
and entertainment functions demanded by on-the-go users.
