When chocolate was
introduced to the “Old World,” it was thought of as the drink of kings. DeSte aims to elevate it to that level once more. The
Garibaldi Group of restaurants recently unveiled their latest venture in
Singapore, pastry laboratory cum retail store DeSte.
According to Chef Roberto
Galetti, Managing Director and partner of Garibaldi Group restaurants in
Singapore, DeSte chocolates will be the “Cartier of chocolates.”
Now open for
business, DeSte is the brainchild of pastry chef Stefano Deiuri, a fifth
generation pastry chef who helped set up the Gold Restaurant in Milan for Dolce
& Gabbana.
Chef Stefano experiments and dreams up new and mouthwatering
adventures in artisan confectionary but also offers whole gourmet cakes. These
cakes are strictly limited to Deiuri’s ability to produce them so quantity is
severely limited.
