Carbon fiber, titanium, polished glass and stainless steel
are materials conventionally associated with fast cars. This time however, the
words function to describe a completely different trendy device – the Nokia
8800 Carbon Arte, the latest addition to Nokia's range-topping 8800 series.
Nokia
borrows cues from its luxury mobile arm Vertu in its latest rendition of the
Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte. There's no groundbreaking features such as 10-megapixel
camera to speak of but these are never the reasons for getting a Vertu in the
first place, and so the same goes for the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte.
No doubt, at
1,100 euros, the latter is but a fraction of the price of a Vertu but the
combination of sleek design and superb craftsmanship makes this phone both a
winner and a definite show-stopper. And you can get your hands on one of these
in the third quarter of 2008.
