Peninsula Hong Kong
is throwing an epicurean feast for its guests to celebrate its 80th
anniversary this year. On the hotel's menu – a special six-course menu at
classical French restaurant Gaddi's, which incidentally is having its own 55th
birthday bash this year with a Gala Menu on 18th December.
And then
there's the 80th Anniversary Culinary Journey, where guests embark
on a six-course gastronomic adventure at four of the Peninsula’s restaurants,
namely, The Lobby, Spring Moon, Gaddi’s and Felix. The hotel is also bringing
back the good old days of the 1930s with Afternoon Tea Dances at the hotel's
tea lounge, simply named The Lobby.
On the first Sunday of each month from
March to December, The Lobby's service staff will don period costume and "cigarette
girls" will be on hand to offer you sweets and chocolate “cigars”. Of course,
to join in the party, you will have to look your Sunday Best.
