With a history spanning more than 140 years, Grenson has
stayed true to the craft of leather shoemaking down through the years. The name
may not come to mind as readily as John Lobb when one mentions bespoke leather
shoes.
Nevertheless, the company has stayed the course, adhering to its
time-honored practice of hand-stitching their shoes from calf leather and
suedes, painstakingly hand polishing and finishing. It is also one of the first
to adopt the Goodyear welt method of construction while also introducing its
own innovations like Grens-in Sole for cushioned comfort.
These qualities are
evident in its classic Rose Collection and the hippier Rushden Range, which at
a fraction of the price of a pair of John Lobb’s, offers the best of both
worlds to look your sartorial best.
