The limited edition Art.Suono
Ipod Sound System is a newfangled luxury audio instrument that aspires to be a
contemporary décor item.
The system is the second collection from David Wiener
Ventures, after their Art.Engine speakers that bear the Ferrari insignia. Its
selling point lies in being able to transmit audio from any source to a sound
system of the user’s choice.
It does that through wireless
technology and is compatible with any audio source, be it iPods, PCs, CD players,
and satellite radios.
Boasting the company’s proprietary DWC-APHEX circuitry –
an acoustic technology that gives “live” acoustics to a piece of recorded music
– the system balances bass and harmonics for a full-bodied sound sensation.
In
addition, the Art.Suono functions as a docking station for the iPod. And to
show that it has lost none of its “race-car” genetics, the Art.Suono sports an “Engine Start” power button and the “Shift”
input signal switch, not to mention the entire system is five solid pounds of
machined aluminium and carbon fiber accents.
The Art.Suono will be available in
October 2008 from David Wiener Collection authorized retailers at US$1,499.
