We reported late in 2007 that the world’s first Buddha-Bar
Hotel was opening in late 2008 and now it has been confirmed, with new pictures
of the forthcoming urban enclave.
The world-famous watering hole and East-by-way-of-the-West
brand Buddha-Bar’s first venture into the world of hospitality is a five-star
hotel in Prague, the Czech Republic.
It promises to be totally in the spirit of
adventurous creator Raymond Visan and the cheekily named owners, George V
Restauration.
As can be seen in the pictures, the hotel features Oriental décor
with a French colonial twist in its rooms and suites. Of course, there is a
Buddha-Bar restaurant, bar and lounge – complete with giant sitting Buddha – on
the premises.
