In the midst of the bustling cultural district of Puerto
Madero in Buenos Aires, The Aleph, a new initiative in premium residences is
taking shape.
The new luxury living concept is the result of a collaborative
effort between architects Foster + Partners and Argentinean entrepreneur Alan
Faena, owner of the adjoining Faena Hotel + Universe.
The Aleph has drawn much of its inspiration from the area’s
architecture. The courtyards and open terraces, characteristic of traditional
Buenosairean houses or “casa chorizo” as they are known to locals, have been
reinvented and incorporated in the design of the apartments.
The bronzed
sun screens, limestone floors and organic color schemes of the apartments were
influenced by the surrounding post-industrial brick buildings in a contemporary
marriage of old and new.
Space and height are central to the design of the units, each with
vaulted ceilings and some even with double-height balconies. The three
penthouses in the residential block will also come with their very own open
terrace.
Topping it all off, residents will enjoy access to the building’s
exclusive rooftop pool. Two more residential blocks are expected to be
completed as part of the project by 2010.
