Following the success of his series of
Strange Decanters, Bordeaux-born artist Etienne Meneau continues to thrill with
his latest creation, yet another functional and unique piece designed to
provide new, unconventional ways to consume the most famed product of the
region he calls home – wine.
Called Petit Couer, meaning Little Heart in
his native tongue, his latest work of art is an abstract reinterpretation of
the human heart, complete with its atriums, ventricles, and an aorta for a
spout.
The unique drinking glass is 20 cm tall,
and made of borosilicate glass. As was the case with his exclusive decanters,
extremely limited quantities of the new Etienne Meneau drinking glass have been
produced.
Only twelve have been made, eight of them
bearing a unique number and the artist’s signature, and the other four being
artist proofs. Each one of these distinctive pieces costs 1500 euros.
