Luxury cruise operator Silversea spices up
next year’s “Silver Links” program with an unlikely combination – golf and the
high seas.
Come 2009, golfers will be able to take their love for the game on
board with them, with 13 golf-themed cruises featured on the fleet’s Silver
Shadow and Silver Whisper, without having to worry about their swing going
rusty while on vacation.
With the option for guided golf excursions
on many of the world’s most celebrated championship courses at multiple ports
of call spread across 30 destinations throughout the South Pacific,
Mediterranean, Caribbean and Mexico, enthusiasts will be able to get truly
international golf experience while perfecting their game on fairways that have
played host to many of the sport’s biggest names.
Aboard the vessel, golfers can continue to
hone their skills under the instruction of a PGA-classed golf professional,
with the aid of a sophisticated swing analysis system, the very same digital
coaching platform selected as the preferred instructional technology by the
PGA.
All the while, guests on board will get to
enjoy the spacious ocean-view accommodations, award-winning gourmet cuisine and
warm, personalized service that have made Silversea a leader in the luxury
cruise business. Prices for the “Silver Links” golf cruises start at US$3,537
per person.
