At the Milan motorcycle show (EICMA 2008), BMW unveiled their new F 800 R – a naked bike in the medium category with superior riding dynamics and unmatched riding fun.
The engine of the new bike is the 798 cc parallel twin with four valves that debuted in the F 800 S. BMW states that they have optimized the engine and throttle response with what they call a throttle valve kinematic system.
Weighing in at 182kg dry – or 204kg fully fueled – the F 800 R is capable of remarkable sprinting power and a top speed of more than 200km.
