Anything that Porsche Design puts its creative energy to seems to meet with resounding acclaim from the press and design industry alike. Such is the case, that even with a basic modest device like an alarm clock radio, the Austria-based design studio is able to turn it on its head, and give it a luxurious makeover.

Developed jointly with California’s Etón Corporation, the P’9120 combines the signature aluminium finish of Porsche Design, with the audio performance that Etón is known for. There’s three 1.5-inch speakers, a subwoofer and double-wall structure, which can receive both analog and satellite radio, and of course, an iPod dock.
