French maker of contemporary fireplaces Arkiane have two
delightful wall-mounted fireplaces in their repertoire, sure to appeal to
lovers of clean, witty modern design.
The cleanly designed Icoya draws on ancient Incan worship of
a beautiful queen who was symbolized by a butterfly spreading its wings and
taking flight. Warm fires lie behind the compact frame, which can be mounted on
walls, or sunk into wall space, depending on the homeowner’s wishes.
Another
design, the Yan-Li takes on a slightly tongue-in-cheek voice, with its
flame-inspired design. Three smooth lines intertwine, resulting in an obvious
flame design, which hints at the warmth behind its cool, light exterior.
