Maserati has chosen the GranTurismo S, their
popular two door grand tourer as the platform for their first entry in the
newly announced MC Sport Line performance catalogue.
Carbon fiber, the racing
enthusiast’s lightweight material of choice features in abundance in this
freshly unveiled white and black special edition, including in its new
sideskirts and spoiler, as well as finishings like door handles, mirror
housings, paddle shifts, dashboard panels, instrument panels and the steering
wheel.
Stiffer suspension synchronized with Maserati’s Stability Programme
software and a 10mm lowering promise better handling, while new 20-inch dark
toned rims complement the aforementioned carbon fiber trimmings.
The engine,
however, remains the same 4.7-liter, 440hp V8 that was previously seen in the original
GranTurismo S. But given that it achieves a top speed of 183 mph and a 0-62 mph
acceleration time of 4.93 seconds, this shouldn’t be a deterring factor.
