Discretion is the better part of audio with these in-ceiling
speakers from British loudspeaker purveyors Bowers & Wilkins. The brand new
CCM816 is a two-way speaker featuring a woven Kevlar bass and midrange driver.
Sharing the technical attributes of the company’s CCM818 range, such as the 1
inch tube-loaded aluminum tweeter and drivers set at a 28-degree angle, the
CCM816 is simply more compact. It is also marked by a blue finish, as seen in
the pictures, which makes it distinct from the yellow cones that brand
traditionally uses.
Of course, the speakers fit in flush with the ceiling and
reportedly suffer no loss of quality. The CCM816 will be available from
February 2009.
