French furniture maker Ligne Roset is showcasing a new
collection of upholstery called Confluences created by French designer Philippe
Nigro at the IMM Cologne this week.
Nigro draws on the idea of “variety” for his asymmetrical
settees, which come in a myriad of colors, and in various seat depths and back
heights. The seats can be mixed and matched, puzzle-style, to cater to
individual preferences.
This means one could put together a two-seater, three-seater,
four-seater with lounge seat or a fireside chair – and at the same time, play
around with different color combinations. In fact, Nigro suggested 27 possible
combinations himself.
