Opening its doors to its first customers at the beginning of
February, Bardessono is a new addition to the beautiful Napa Valley landscape,
a hotel, spa and restaurant that advocates luxury with an environmental
conscience.
The 62-room boutique hotel in Yountville, California owes
its elegant design to WATG architects, who have fitted the inn with numerous
green features, including 82 geothermal wells and 940 solar panels to provide
energy to heat and cool guestrooms and provide hot water.
Other resource-saving
initiatives like motion-sensor lighting and drought-resistant landscaping have
also been put in place, and will no doubt help them in their quest to obtain a
LEED Platinum certification, and the title of the “greenest” luxury hotel in
the United States.
Guests will be pampered with luxuries such as a four
treatment room spa complete with a designated spa butler and a 75-foot long
rooftop infinity pool.
And not forgetting that you’re staying in the middle of
Napa Valley, the experience naturally entails tasting its wines – best savored
with fine organic cuisine courtesy of head chef Sean O’Toole, all the while
with the knowledge that their enjoyment comes at a minimal price for the
environment.
