Porsche Design Eyewear recently showcased the newest
additions to its sunglasses line, the Heritage collection.
Inspiration for the
multi-faceted design house has this time, come from its very own past – the two
newest sunglasses models are reissues of classic styles found in the company’s
repertoire from the 70s and 80s.
The first of the new sunglasses, the Exclusive spectacles,
has a timeless design. The classic pilot spectacles have been infused with
modern accents such as high-end materials synonymous of the Porsche name; the
replaceable lenses are made of unbreakable polycarbonate, and the frames are
made of light and durable titanium.
The second design, the “Folding” spectacles fold down to be
no larger than a compact six by six centimeters. This model, also with a
polycarbonate lens, caused a stir in 1980 when it was first launched with its
ingenious design. Both designs are available at leading eyewear retailers.
