Italian yacht-maker Riva wants to bring its yachts into its
client’s home. To do so, it had principal designer Odilia Prisco incorporate
details of its yachts in the recently launched Riva Home Couture furnishing
line.
The limited edition Riva Home Couture collection incorporates
luxurious details with pure and precious materials such as cashmere, silk,
saddle leather, linen, silver and brass. The handcrafted mahogany used to build
the surfaces of Rivas yachts is used to recreate the luxury furnishings.
Pillows
and pure cashmere blankets boast stitches that mimic the wake of a Riva Yacht,
and archival Riva images are sewn in the inset of its leather bags. Fur rugs
and smaller pieces of leather furniture complete the luxurious range, which is
meant to expand as the company introduces limited edition pieces in the future.
Other luxury brands such as famed champagne house Veuve Clicquot, which have partnered Riva on special edition releases in times past, also makes its mark through intricate stitching. This collection
embodies the necessity of long-lasting luxury that will not fade with time.
