Furriers from all corners of the world gathered in Hong Kong
for the International Fur and Fashion Fair recently. A total of 280 exhibitors
from 16 countries showcased their wares and attempted to ferret out ideas
determine the trends for the industry.
A representative of the fur federation
noted that they are optimistic about industry prospects as inventory levels in
China and the US are negligible, while Europe does not have an unusually large
surplus. In fact, the trend prophets argued that while buyers may not be
rushing blindly into extravagant purchases, they will continue to support the
fur-for-all-seasons trend, thus ensuring healthy demand.
