Rolls-Royce’s baby Rolls, unveiled in the form of the 200EX
concept car in Geneva, embarks on a world tour to secure potential customers,
and along with it, new details of the production version RR4 have been released.
Rolls-Royce says the new RR4 will have a new 6.6-liter
turbocharged V12 unique to Rolls-Royce, producing in excess of 500bhp, and
mated to an 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox.
Previous reports suggest that a V12 engine will be sourced
from parent company BMW, and a chassis based on the BMW 7 Series.
Speaking in New York, the first leg of the 200EX’s world
tour, Rolls CEO Tom Purves said:” We have consciously engineered this car to be
more involving and dynamic for those owners around the world that will wish to
drive it themselves.”
