Parisian luxury house Hermès present more elegant items for
the home with new additions to their existing line of fine porcelain tableware.
This time, their collection is peppered with the intricacy of mosaics, the
brilliance of gold, and the rich history and culture of the great ancient
civilizations.
The Mosaique Au 24 series draws inspiration from art and
architecture. The plates, bowls and saucers in the series are rimmed with
geometric patterns and motifs, bearing the House’s signature carriage emblem.
All these accents have been painstakingly created in the form of tiny mosaic
tiles in shades of gray and ochre splashed with touches of gold.
The Poèmes du Mandarin series takes on a distinctly Oriental
flavor, painted with hand-written Mandarin poems describing the art of
receiving guests and the joys of being in the company of treasured friends. The
calligraphy of Chinese artist Fung Ming Chip is realized in the form of
lustrous platinum characters sprinkled with traditional red seals.
The designs in both lines are available in a variety of
formats, from large presentation platters to individual serving pieces, and are
priced between S$100 and S$2,400.
