Taking the cue from its parent company Fiat, Ferrari will
donate the last F430 to roll out from Maranello for a good cause – this time at
the RM Auction to be held this Sunday, in aid of Italy’s Abruzzo region. Nearly
300 residents lost their lives in a massive earthquake that rocked central
Italy in April.
The special one-off edition F430 will be painted in the
colors of silver and gold as a commemorative display of support for L’Aquila –
the city that bore the brunt of the quake.
The successful bidder and new owner of this F430 will be
invited to Maranello to customize his F430 to his desired specifications based
on Ferrari’s bespoke Carrozzeria Scaglietti programme, as well as a certificate
signed by Ferrari chief Luca di Montezemolo, and a personalized dedication
plate.
