French high jewelers Boucheron have taken delectable
Parisian treats off the high tea table and turned them into dazzling jewelry
for the lady with a love for all things sweet.
First made famous by Paris’
Ladurée patisserie, the double-decker sandwich macaron is the centerpiece of
the House’s enticing new “Tentation Macaron” collection – a line of delicious
little indulgences you can wear.
On the collection’s menu are five rings, two necklaces and a
pair of glittering reversible earrings.
The rings are each paved with sparkling
jewels of a different color – green Tsavorite, orange sapphire, deep purple
amethyst, rich red rubies and dark brown diamonds, mirroring the classic
macaron flavors of pistachio, lemon, violet, rose and chocolate.
The rings are
realized playfully in the shape of a bitten macaron, with its jeweled filling
just peeking out from underneath the glittering crust.
An assortment of these bejeweled delicacies strung up on a
chain of white gold make up the first necklace, while a single intact macaron
of pink sapphires dangles hangs off a white gold chain, flipping over to reveal
a perfectly rounded cabochon cut amethyst to make up the second tasty surprise.
The same reversible pink and purple macarons dangle off the bitten green
Tsavarite treats that make up a playful and versatile pair of earrings, making
for a collection of jewels good enough to eat.
