Italian
fashion house Fendi reveals a certain toughness in its Fall/Winter 2009
collection in Hong Kong. From defined shoulders to the use of raw unlined
crocodile, the house can be seen everywhere to be advocating perseverance in
the face of adversity.
The collection is also about contrasts, as silver fox
and chiffon meet the aforementioned crocodile and Persian lamb lace. For a
touch of eloquence about the collection, enfant terrible designer Karl
Lagerfeld had this to say: “I wanted flexibility, where clothes are chic
yet practical, with country colors like deep forest yet tough enough for the
city.”
