Fancy a chance to win a life fit for a millionaire? That’s exactly what a London banker is offering, with quite the cunning plan to land himself a plum serving of cash and remove significant liabilities. The Daily Mail of London reports that a recently divorced banker, Andrew Paul, intends to part company with his millionaire lifestyle.
Instead of simply giving it away to charity, as other wealthy individuals have done, Paul has come up with a competition where one lucky chap can win it all – for a mere GBP20. Paul is offering his GBP1.1m five-bedroom house, GBP160,000 Aston Martin DBS and his GBP200,000 Sealine 35 Sport motor boat to anyone who pays the entry fee and can correctly guess the location of a ball in a golfing picture.
The first prize includes enough cash to cover legal expenses and insurance costs for the car and boat. The winner can also take GBP1 million in lieu of the prizes. What’s interesting here is that Paul himself will by no means be turning pauper. If he achieves maximum sales of 200,000 tickets, he will have made himself GBP4 million, and divested himself of expensive property and toys that may be rather difficult to offload in these trying times.
