Alex and Viran, the duo behind jewelry
brand V-RAN, took the road less travelled when designing their first
collection. Instead of sticking with the tried and tested, they utilized
high-tech ceramic to create exquisite, limited-edition pieces for the jewelry
aficionado who craves something classy, yet distinctively gritty and modern at
the same time.
Still considered a fresh
material in the realm of design, V-RAN is the first in the world to introduce a complete
range of jewelry made from high-tech ceramic. A favourite among watchmakers,
high-tech ceramic is prized for being virtually scratchproof, thus retaining a
certain hardiness along with its deep glossy colour.
The first collection
features four models: Code, Edge, Diamond and Gold, where the latter two are
decorated with VVS Top Wesselton diamonds and white gold respectively.
Only five to ten pieces are created per model, where each piece of
jewelry is moulded, heated and finished by hand in a laborious process which
takes up to eight weeks. Other than the limited editions, V-RAN also offers bespoke services where clients are free to work with the designers in creating
their own exclusive pieces.
