Parisian leather goods specialist Lancel got aboard the Orient Express and made for Hong Kong with its Fall/Winter 2009 collection. Held at the JIA Hotel in Causeway Bay, Lancel transformed The Drawing Room venue at the hotel into an Orient Express car to showcase the new bags of the season.
From the interior to the staff, every element was in appropriate livery, to the delight of the 100 guests gathered to sample Lancel's offerings. The journey began with a five-course meal accompanied by a performance from jazz singer Howard McCrary.
The main event of course was the arrival of four models dressed in 19th century period costumes, demonstrating 30 signature pieces from the collection, including the star of the show, the Adjani bag.
