Spanish winemaker Albert Jane introduced his Acustic Celler wines to a pleasantly surprised Singaporean press recently. Acustic Celler hails from the mountainous region of DO Montsant in Catalunya, Spain and Beam Global Asia Pte. Ltd is introducing it in Singapore. In his remarks, Jane said his winery is dedicated to communicating the character of Montsant and the traditions of winemaking in that region.

In fact, the 35 hectares of land controlled by Acustic Celler boast vines that are between 35 to 60 years old. The grape variants here are Garnatxa (40 percent) and Samso (60 percent) and the wines are produced by blending these variants. Jane is adamant that his winery does not use any artificial filtering and refining processes.

The three wines you see here are the Acustic Blanc, Acustic and Brao. Overall, the energy of all three are impressive, with each one bearing distinct notes – anyone looking for Cabernet Sauvignons or Merlots should look elsewhere.
