Shangri-La becomes the first international luxury
hotel to stake its claim on the pristine white beaches on the southern-most tip of Addu Atoll in the Maldives with the opening of the Villingili Resort and Spa in July.
Stunning coral reef formations – the largest in
Maldives – surround the resort in an authentic setting that reflects the
rustic charm of the beautiful landscape and picturesque coastline.
The
luxurious experience is evident from its 142 spacious standalone villas
designed in five distinctive villa themes that range from private ocean
retreats to tucked-away tree-house villas elevated three meters above the
ground, a first in the Maldives. Couples traveling with families
can have their own privacy in one of the 20 Asian-inspired twin beach villas
that consist of two joint villas.
Apart from villas, Villingili also has an interesting
line-up of activities for guests to explore. Shangri-La’s very own signature
spa brand, CHI is located at the highest geographical point in the resort at
2.3 meters above sea-level.
Guests will be spoilt for choice as they choose
from CHI’s Kandu Boli to the native-inspired treatments. Villingili’s
crystalline waters is ideal for snorkeling, surfing, and scuba diving.
From now till 31 October, the resort is offering two
exclusive packages to celebrate its opening.
Guests get one to four nights of free stay when they stay a minimum of
three to ten nights. Other complimentary benefits include a CHI experience for
two, return domestic flight transfers and daily half-board.
Rates begin from USD$1,600 a night.
