There is a Chinese
proverb that says “all good tidings come in pairs” – that certainly holds true
for the Park Hotel Group, which celebrated the inauguration of its latest
business hotel along Clarke Quay on the eve of Singapore’s National Day in August.
Just two weeks
prior to Park Hotel Clarke Quay’s official opening, the Group had thrown a
fashion-themed party to mark the launch of its Knightsbridge luxury retail
concept along Orchard Road.
Singapore's Senior Minister
of State for Trade & Industry and Education, Mr S. Iswaran officiated the
opening ceremony, which kicked off with a traditional Chinese lion dance
performance.
Guests were then ushered to
the second floor of the hotel, where the party continues at the poolside, with
live music and Chinese drum performances, and cabana-style spa pavilions
temporarily converted into “gourmet stations” on the night.
The
Victorian-inspired hotel, with its spire-topped roofs and 1800s colonial
façade, boasts 336 rooms and suites with sweeping views of the Singapore River,
and is minutes away from Singapore’s Central Business District.
The hotel is
currently having a Great Weekend Getaways promotion at SGD188++ per night, which comes
with a 50 percent discount on the 2nd night, valid till 31 October
2009.
Business
travellers can opt for the Club Room package at SGD228++, and includes free
Internet and laundry, access to the meeting room and evening cocktails at the
Club Lounge, an executive set lunch at the hotel’s Brizo Restaurant & Bar,
and even a tour of Singapore’s iconic River in a river taxi. This promotion is
valid till 31 October 2009.
